ABOUT: EAST is very excited to be working with Noel McEwen for our 2026 artist series. A resident artist for Off Axis Paint in Mooresville, NC - Noel has hand painted helmets for top drivers and teams around the world.

With car liveries and sponsorships changing race to race, sometimes helmet designs can be overlooked, but helmets are one of the few places that drivers can have full control of their personal expression.  A custom design allows a driver to express their personality, attitude, and style on the track, often becoming a "right of passage” and custom helmets are often seen as masterpieces that are treasured for years, even becoming family heirlooms.

Noel’s work has been a big part of many milestones over the years and with Off Axis being local to Mooresville we are honored to work with him.

Last October we were feeling a little rebellious and asked Noel for a design with a nod to Icabod Crane and the iconic headless horseman.. a lone wolf give em hell kind of character.
