ABOUT SKETCHY TANK
Sketchy Tank is the American artist behind the highly successful brand “Lurking Class”. Sketchy Tank’s unique artwork is the product of his youthful upbringing along the coast of Encinitas, California. An epicenter for all things surf- and skate-related, this beautiful coastal locale would serve as the basis for his artistic influences, thanks to varying levels of community exposure.
His father — a staff photographer for Surfing Magazine, and lifelong ocean-lover – integrated Tank into his professional life at a young age, bringing him on surf trips to some of the sport’s most notable locations. Over the years, this helped Sketchy to cultivate his own style of surf/skate-inspired artwork,
ST has been part of our extended family for almost as long as we can remember. We are proud to have his art launch our EAST kids line. Torrey asked for art that felt like the first time we all sat down to watch the Dukes and Jesse delivered big time. Torrey was so smitten with the art she wanted a Hoodie for herself, thus a limited run of adult sizes for the big big kids.
